Biography

I am a values‑driven and highly accomplished school leader with 30 years of experience in education and a proven record of delivering sustained school improvement. As Headteacher of Oak Wood School, I have led the school from a legacy of ‘Requires Improvement’ to a securely ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement, embedding a culture of excellence, accountability and professional growth. My leadership is strategic, evidence‑based and grounded in a strong moral purpose. I balance ambitious expectations for pupil outcomes with a deep commitment to staff wellbeing, professional development and creating the conditions in which people thrive. I am passionate about building high‑performing teams, shaping positive culture and ensuring every decision serves the best interests of children and young people.
