Biography

David is a Principal Geographic Information Systems (GIS) consultant working in the Environment, Nature and Consents division of Mott MacDonald. The role has allowed David to combine his academic geographical background with data analysis and data management and to use this in a variety of applications including water resource management, environmental impact assessment and in support to engineering design in the rail and energy sectors. David has a key role developing processes for calculating biodiversity net gain on projects. He enjoys supporting graduates in their technical skill development and getting hands-on with programming languages, such as Python, to improve geoprocessing workflows.
