Biography

After a near 30 year career in Defence Geography specialising in the analysis of paper mapping worldwide, particularly in later years that produced by the USSR, and map librarianship, I retired in 2015 but maintain my interests in these spheres by my membership of the British Cartographic and Charles Close Societies and participating in their events, organising six-monthly local map meetings for fellow enthusiasts and consulting on the future of the historical legacy of UK military cartography with others at the DGC.
