BSc/MSc Geography; Licensed Land Surveyor (CA/WA), Licensed Photogrammetrist (OR/ASPRS), Certified GIS Professional (GISCI) I've worked in the field of Geography since 1990, when I started as a Survey Tech with the US Dept. of Interior Bureau of Land Management, since then I have worked for several US Federal Agencies including the Dept. of Energy and the Dept. of Justice. I also spent 3 years working throughout the Middle East and North Africa for a private geospatial firm, and an additional 5 years with Saudi Aramco in their Geospatial Services Division, living and working in Saudi Arabia. I've spent time as: an aerial photographer, LiDAR operator (terrestrial & airborne), drone pilot, land surveyor, cartographer, photogrammetrist, instructor, author and Scout leader all for the past 36 years. Presently I hold two paid positions as a regional/county surveyor for San Juan County and as a photogrammetric interpreter with a satellite imagery firm, BlackSky.
