Biography
Extensive experience working in the hydro-meteorological field, in a variety of roles that span from hydrologist, manager for the operational delivery of forecasting services, to strategic lead for a national forecasting centre, with a MSc in Engineering Hydrology. He has considerable experience in delivering high profile forecasting and warning services to a range of users and has had extensive involvement in engaging with customers to capture requirements, review performance, communication of service developments and end user training to support overall service benefits. He has recent experience in the setting-up of a successful national hydro-meteorological forecasting centre within the UK, involving considerable partnership and capacity building elements, and ensuring interoperability of systems and integration of services to common customer groups.
