I work for the National Trust for Scotland as Property Manager for the Balmacara Estate, a castal crofting estate of 2,550 hectares and am also a Director of Wester Ross Biosphere Ltd. I have my own part-time GIS, land management and conservation planning consultancy business and I am a semi-professional photographer. I have a BSc honours degree in Ecological Science and an MPhil in forestry research from Edinburgh University and a MSc in GIS from Soutampton University and an HNC in Photography form the West Highland College - UHI. I have over 30 years experience of work in land management, conservation, planning, specialising in community development and managing cultural landscapes.
