Mr Ian Coppell CGeog

Biography

I have been immersed in geography throughout my life, from A-Levels, via a geography and education degree, to a career that has led me to teaching geography for over 35 years in five different countries. I have been teaching at Singapore American School since 2001 and am also currently Chair of the Singapore Branch of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). Throughout my career I have been devoted to personal growth as well as attempting to instil in my students the importance and relevance of geography as an academic discipline and the resulting potential career paths.
