Ian leads JBA Risk Management’s Analytics team delivering bespoke catastrophe and risk management expertise to re/insurance companies, brokers and disaster risk reduction specialists to quantify their exposure to flood, improve underwriting, manage capital requirements and understand catastrophic events. Away from his main role Ian is a keen cartographer and designer, providing training and overseeing cartographic standards across the company. Ian has an MSc in GIS for Catchment Dynamics and Management from the University of Leeds, is a qualified paraglider pilot and has been a Chartered Geographer since 2015.
