Biography

James is a Principal Consultant at Oxford HR providing leadership services to clients across Sustainability and the Environment. James has over 25 years of experience in conservation, environment, animal welfare and emergencies. He has operated in more than 40 countries, delivering policy change at national and international levels and changes to protected area status. After conservation fieldwork in Africa, Asia and Latin American, James’ has worked as Executive Director of Operations at CCC Ltd, Global Programme Director at WSPA, Director of Programmes at CDP and Executive Director of IFAW UK. James has an MSc in Disaster Management and is the co-author of ‘Animal Welfare and Management in Natural Disasters’. He is credited with first scientific explorations in the Philippines and Madagascar, obtaining the first photos in the wild for several species. He is a trustee of BARTA and Water Witness.
