Biography

I spent 30 years teaching Geography in a large Rotherham Authority Comprehensive, finally becoming an Assistant head. I then spent 10 years as Programme Manager at Geographical Association. Following that, in retirement, I was an independent consultant with a variety of roles for the DfE (Critical Thinking for Achievement), OCR, consultant to the GA, the Ordnance Survey, Astrea Academy Trust, Educators Abroad and a number of primary schools. Currently I spend less time on consultancy, but am still a member of the GA Physical Geography SIG and moderator for the Geographical Association SGQM and PGQM awards.
