Biography
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic geographer with extensive experience in geographical education. As a Chartered Geographer (C.Geog), I have taught geography and business at various levels, blending academic expertise with innovative teaching methods. My areas of specialisation include economic geography, development studies, and geographical education, with a particular focus on East Asia. As the former Honorary Secretary of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS-IBG), I contributed to advancing geographical knowledge and fostering professional development within the field. I hold an MSc in Geography from King’s College London, where my research in the Philippines enhanced my understanding of regional economic dynamics. I am a published author, and my research delves into economic geography, development, and spatial interactions, with a focus on East Asia. I am passionate about promoting geographical literacy and supporting individuals and institutions in recognising the essential role geography plays in global development.
