Biography
Mike is an urban forestry and greenspace professional with experience over three decades. His career has encompassed opencast mine restoration, developing fantastic places for communities, multi-purpose woodlands and being a key driver in the greening of derelict land in Scotland. His ability to build partnerships and achieve results with everyone from grass roots organisations to corporate professionals enabled innovative projects to happen from Scotland’s premier cycle pumptrack in one of its most deprived communities, to the Ravenscraig Park, to ensuring that landscape was key to the commercial success of Albert Bartlett & Sons. He has presented papers at a range of seminars and conferences. He is a trustee of Socialtrack and likes nothing better than riding his own bike.
