Biography
I have 17 years’ experience in flood risk management having been involved in many strategic and site-specific projects across the UK. I have a proven track record in sourcing, bidding for, and winning flood risk management projects from existing and new clients in the public and private sector. I am a qualified Project Director which makes me ultimately responsible for the direction of the whole lifespan of projects. I have in-depth knowledge of the National Planning Policy Framework and the Flood Risk and Coastal Change Planning Practice Guidance for England, Welsh Government’s new Technical Advice Note 15 Development, Flooding and Coastal Erosion and Planning Policy Wales, and the National Planning Framework 4 for Scotland. I volunteer as a mentor for candidates working towards gaining CGeog status and as an Assessor for CGeog applications. I am also a GIS expert with an MSc in GIS and I’m an Associate of ESRI.
