Neil Burrows MSc, BSc (Hons), CGeog (Geomorph) is a Chartered Geographer and Senior Environmental Scientist with over 12 years’ experience in fluvial geomorphology, river restoration, and catchment management. He specialises in Water Framework Directive (WFD) compliance, geomorphological appraisal, river restoration feasibility and design, and strategic opportunity mapping at catchment and landscape scales. Neil has led and delivered projects for organisations including the Environment Agency, Natural England, Natural Resources Wales, the National Trust, local authorities, and water companies across the UK. His expertise spans river restoration, nature-based solutions, GIS-based spatial analysis, hydraulic modelling, stakeholder engagement, and technical reporting. He has been at the forefront of developing innovative approaches to identifying and prioritising environmental enhancement opportunities, helping clients achieve ecological, hydromorphological, and resilience objectives. Neil is committed to applying evidence-led geomorphology to deliver sustainable river and catchment restoration outcomes that benefit both people and the environment.
