Nicholas is Chief Technical Officer for The Carto Group and also European Editor for Flatdog Media publication, xyHt. Currently mentoring a team of software & gaming developers to create geospatial web based mapping solutions with innovative capabilities, as used in the Land & Property solution LandHawk. With experience of working on many of the UK offshore and onshore renewable energy projects, Nicholas has, in previous roles, led the GIS and developed it from a simple mapping system to a full companywide open source intranet server system complying with industry standards and analysis capabilities, furthermore supported the requirements of the environmental, engineering and development teams by providing 3D modelling, web mapping, spatial analysis, 3D analysis, cartography, survey specification, geophysical analysis, and even innovating geospatial solutions when needed. In his spare time, Nicholas brings the geographic community together under his alter ego, Dragons8mycat. Engaging and helping new GIS users and professionals alike to help bridge the gaps in the ever expanding geospatial industry through both social media and also "Geoninja unite" events
