Biography
Oli is Principal Geomorphologist for the East of England at the Environment Agency. Having studied BSc Geography and MSc Coastal & Marine Resource Management at the University of Portsmouth, Oli joined the Environment Agency in 2012 as Geomorphology Technical Officer covering the east coast of England. In 2016 he was seconded to Natural England for six months as national Senior Specialist – Coastal Geomorphology, before returning to the Environment Agency to become the coasts and estuaries lead in the National Geomorphology Team, and then the Principal Advisor for the East of England. Oli has experience developing environmentally sensitive flood and erosion risk management approaches with a focus on the use of Nature-Based Solutions, advising on climate change resilience, developing policies and strategies, and contributing to national and international guidance.
