Biography
Omar is a Technical Director/ Water Scientist specialising in the Surface Water Environment. He has 16 years professional experience leading several large hydrological, hydroecological, hydromorphological and water quality investigations and catchment studies. He began his career in a temporary role at the British Antarctic Survey in their Remote Sensing and GIS team. After this he progressed as an Environmental Scientist at Cascade Consulting (now Ricardo) where he spent 8 years. Since early 2014 he has worked at AECOM where he now manages the surface water team, of 15, and is leading on various projects for a range of clients across the United Kingdom and beyond. Clients have included water companies, developers, local authorities, government agencies and more.
