Biography

I have worked in the outdoor education and learning sector for my entire working life, initially training as a teacher by studying Outdoor Education at Bangor Normal College, North Wales. I began working life as an Instructor at the Arethusa Venture Centre in Kent, then moving to Deputy Head of Centre before then moving on to manage the Heads of the three Surrey County Council Outdoor Education Centres, and briefly as Operations Manager for the County's Duke of Edinburgh's Award offer. I am currently employed as the Outdoor Education Advisor for Surrey County Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. In 2025 I achieved Chartered Geographer status via RGS-IBG.
