Biography
Paul employs GIS analysis and map production skills to create geospatial visualisations to support a wide variety of UK customer requirements at the National Centre for Geospatial Intelligence. Paul has over 30 years’ experience working for the MOD, primarily at the Defence Geographic Centre where his specialism was in the field of geodesy and map projections. Paul continues to educate colleagues in these fundamental topics and more recently completed an MSc in GIS Technologies including creating a tool to enable automated map projection selection for GIS. Paul's current role is focused on the integration of geospatial analysis within the broader geospatial intelligence discipline, and includes development of innovative visual products and automated tools using Python scripting to broaden the range of intelligence questions being answered using geospatial analysis.
