Biography

Paul has 24 years’ experience of using GIS for environmental, community regeneration and public sector projects. Paul’s expertise includes open data and data sharing platforms including work on the London DataStore. Paul is jointly responsible for introducing data science techniques to the GIS team and also manages a team of developers, creating interactive tools for professional users and the public https://www.london.gov.uk/what-we-do/research-and-analysis/webmaps-and-tools . Previously, he was Head of GIS for Groundwork, delivering GIS services to external partners as part of multidisciplinary teams. The GIS team actively promoted the benefits of GIS across the Groundwork Federation (about 2000 staff) and provided training and support in basic techniques for non-GIS specialists. Previous roles have included Manager of the Colne Valley Regional Park.
