Biography
Ryan currently works at Parkside School in Bradford, where he is Head of Geography & 2nd in Humanities. He is currently enjoying his role of being able to shape the geography curriculum and lead colleagues guiding them to produce quality geography lessons to inspire the next generation of geographers. Over the past 15 years of his teaching career Ryan has always valued the work of the Royal Geography Society and Geographical Association to help him become a successful geography teacher through many of CPD sessions and conferences he has attended. Over the past few years, he has been eager to contribute more to the wider geography community, which led to Ryan becoming a member of the Physical Geography Special Interest Group (PGSIG) and the Fieldwork & Outdoor Learning Special Interest Group (FOLSIG). The voluntary groups have allowed him to share some of his passions and experiences co-writing articles and co-presenting at the GA conference. Ryan has also worked with Huddersfield University as a guest lecturer to deliver the key geographical subject knowledge to PGCE Geography students across the academic year.
