Biography

I am an innovative, empathetic, and passionate educator with over 15 years of experience inspiring young people across the UK state, grammar, and independent sectors. As a Geography specialist teaching ages 9–18, I have served as Head of Geography, Head of Year, and Enrichment Coordinator, and I currently teach at an international school in Norway. Alongside teaching, I am close to completing a Doctorate in Education. My research explores how insights from neuroscience and complex thinking can foster curiosity, collaboration, and higher-order thinking in Geography and the wider Humanities. As well as being a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Chartered Geographer, I hold an MSc in Environmental Social Science and a PGCE. I also have extensive experience delivering CPD, focusing on how cognitive processes and differentiated, enquiry-based approaches can strengthen classroom practice.
