Biography

I am a Chartered Geographer and Strategic Development Director at WSP specialising in land referencing, a discipline that applies geographical thinking to connect people, place and decision-making across major infrastructure projects. Working at the intersection of spatial analysis, stakeholder engagement, information management and professional judgement, I help project teams understand the often-invisible relationships that shape places and influence outcomes. Much of the value created through land referencing is itself invisible: it appears in risks avoided, designs improved, objections reduced and relationships strengthened before issues arise. By bringing geographical evidence, local knowledge and the lived realities of communities into project development, I support informed and resilient decision-making. I am committed to advancing professional standards by enabling professional community through engagement, digital and geospatial innovation and recognition of land referencing as a practical and impactful application of geography.
