Biography
Stu Westfield BEng (hons) FRGS is an experienced mountain and expedition leader, with a focus upon guiding in sub-Saharan Africa. Including summits of Kilimanjaro, other peaks, wilderness trekking and working with NGOs. In the UK he works as an outdoor and adventurous activities instructor, with an emphasis on experiential and developmental learning for young people. He introduces geographical, cultural, ecology and archaeology topics to illustrate the history of environment, population and contemporary issues. Stu is the founder of Ranger Expeditions, engaging adult clients with nature through challenges and micro-adventures. Alongside, he organises trail running events and regularly delivers training in navigation and hill skills. Stu has shared subject matter knowledge as a guest speaker on national television and independent documentary film.
