Biography
Professionally qualified as both an engineer and a geographer, Tom is passionate about the built environment and the role of water within it. With nineteen years' experience in consultancy and design for the built environment, he specialises in surface water management and urban drainage, advocating for a place-based, multi-disciplinary approach where water is viewed as a resource rather than a waste product. Tom also has an academic research interest in blue-green infrastructure, especially in how formal and informal institutions shape its adoption and influence our urban spaces.
