Biography
Tom has taught geography for 22 years across three continents and is an experienced international educator. He is currently a Head of Department based in China and has held this role in two other international schools in Asia. He is a passionate geographer who is committed to evidence informed pedagogical practice. He created his own geography themed website (https://www.trtomsgeoinsights.com/) to share new geographical content and ideas with a wider audience of students and teachers. Tom is a trained instructional coach and has a wealth of mentoring experience with teachers in his department, to improve their geographical teaching skills. As well as being a CGeog (Teacher), he has an educational MA degree and has almost completed the pathway to Chartered Teacher (CTeach).
