Eleza Kollannur is a GIS Professional (GISP-AP, SSSI, Australia), Chartered Geographer (C.Geog (GIS),Royal Geographical Society with IBG, UK) working in water sector for more than 13 years. She has experience in remote sensing and GIS for urban infrastructure master planning and design, including potable water, foul sewerage, and surface/ground water drainage for projects across Middle East, UK and India. Her background is in architecture, Environmental Planning and Environmental Law. She is passionate about the development of GIS solutions through python programming and automation. In her current role as Senior Drainage Engineer with Qatar Project Management (QPM), Doha, she provides GIS support to Qatar Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Drainage Networks Projects Department in handover of GIS/CAD data for drainage construction projects by coordinating with project supervision consultants, contractors, checking data templates, version and preparing maps to show project status updates.Her work includes analysing, mapping and extracting data using ArcGIS. She is also managing work done by GIS resources in the department. As a GISCorp, she volunteers towards humanitarian mapping to aid disaster relief and is also a mentor at Women in Geospatial (WiG+).
