Mrs Emma Worthington CGeog (Teacher)

Biography

I have been working in the geographical field since graduating with a Geography and Business degree in 1998. During this time I have worked in the environmental field, principally waste management and research. I have a postgraduate in Sustainable Waste Management. In 2004 I had the opportunity to travel the world for 6 months which was a life changing experience and on return I began my training as a Geography teacher at Exeter University. On qualifying I returned to Guernsey to commence my teaching career. I became a head of department the following year and have continued in guises of this post since that time. I have been heavily involved with the writing of the entitlement document for Geography for Key Stage 1-3 and in 2023 I was appointed as curriculum lead for the Secondary Schools Partnership in Guernsey. In addition I also support primary schools with the geography curriculums
