Biography
Helen is a secondary geography teacher with 28 years’ experience. She holds an MA in Education and serves as an External Subject Expert for Ofqual. In 2008, Helen founded Geography Geek, a website where she shares resources with teachers globally. She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Chartered Geographer. Helen has worked for over two decades as an Educational Consultant for the BBC, creating online, video, and interactive content for BBC Bitesize and BBC Studios. More recent ventures have seen her creating online content for Microsoft and writing self-guided tours for UK towns and cities. Helen has written for Cambridge University Press for 10 years, producing texts for KS3, IGCSE, GCSE and A Level geography.
