Biography
Karen works on the Evidence Digital Systems Improvement Project for Natural England, focusing on geospatial capabilities. Her interest in GIS began whilst she was studying for her degree in geography at the University of Salford. Since 2000, she has worked in the GIS profession for numerous organisations including Warrington Borough Council, Farming and Rural Conservation Agency, Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, Countryside Agency and Natural England. During this time Karen has also studied for a Masters in Geographical Information Systems at the University of Leeds. Her experience includes web mapping, spatial analysis, cartography, GI data management, programming, technical support and training.
