Biography

I am a first-class geographer and geography teacher known for my active, creative and inclusive pedagogy. I am a passionate and organised teacher, committed to developing the next generation of geography teachers who are prepared to nurture a geography education fit for purpose, to prepare children for life beyond school. I engage with creative and empathetic teaching techniques, and drive scholarship and pedagogy around Climate Change Education (CCE) and in using an inclusive and decolonial approach in geography education. Lead Geography mentor for the DfE’s market review and Intensive Training and Practice at the University of Bristol. Senior Lecturer of Secondary Geography Education at the University of Bristol. Leader of the Green Apple project. Climate Fresk facilitator.
