Biography
Sophie is an enthusiastic geography teacher, subject lead and teacher educator responsible for the Secondary PGCE Geography programme at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. She is Lead Link Tutor coordinating the ECT Exchange Programme, leads mentor training on How Pupils Learn and delivers Professional Studies sessions on sustainability education. Previously Head of Geography and Head of House, she serves as elected Trustee for the Geographical Association Board of Governors, EUROGEO Vice President and consultant on Erasmus+ projects including GIS-T, VGlobal and VGeoSciEd—building on her previous role as Principal Investigator for the GI Pedagogy project. She is a newly co-opted Royal Geographical Society Education Committee member representing teacher training, organised the Geography Teacher Educators (GTE) Conference and established the GA Twickenham Branch.
