Biography
Vida Williams is Geospatial Capability Lead for Jacobs in Europe, leading a 70‑person GIS team across the UK, Ireland and Poland and driving the strategic growth of geospatial services across infrastructure, environmental and utilities programmes. She also serves as Office Lead for Jacobs’ 350‑person Reading hub, supporting engagement, communication and wellbeing. With a Distinction MSc in GIS from the University of London and a Geography degree from the University of Cambridge, Vida has built a career spanning transport planning and geospatial leadership. She has delivered geospatial solutions on nationally significant programmes, including a UK aviation fuel pipeline DCO, and led development of digital products applying spatial analytics to predictive maintenance in the water sector. A Chartered Geographer (GIS), Vida sits on the AGI Council, is an assessor for the RGS, and actively promotes skills, inclusion and cross‑disciplinary collaboration across the geospatial profession.
