Biography
Heather is the Data and GIS Manager at Reading Borough Council where she leads a team providing data and GIS analysis across the Council. Heather's team create data for the LLPG and LSG, and provide GIS and analysis services for teams across the council, covering a wide range of topics from parking to adult social care. Prior to this, Heather was a Senior Geospatial Analyst at the Office for National Statistics where she was responsible for undertaking and leading geospatial analysis for statistical outputs, including for Census 2021 and the Sustainable Development Goals. Heather also represented ONS at the UN-GGIM: Europe working group for data integration. Heather previously held roles in engineering at the University of Southampton and in marine geophysics at Fugro. Heather was previously Co-Lead for the Women+ in Geospatial Mentorship Programme which facilitates and encourages mentorship for women+ in the geospatial sector from across the world.
