Biography
Helen is a geospatial professional with 15 years’ experience applying GIS, information management, modelling and analysis to various fields of work; including renewable energy, disaster management, climate resilience, transport, historic environment, ecology and water management. Helen has a MSc in GIS from the University of Leeds, her dissertation explored uncertainty in decision analysis by integrating GIS with a Bayesian Belief Network. Helen’s career path has been varied and she has worked for environmental consultancies as well as local, central and international government agencies. Working for the International Organisation for Migration in Haiti Helen managed earthquake reconstruction projects including landownership and engineering aspects. Helen’s interests include business development and Digital Sufficiency and Sustainability.
