Ms Jennifer Cunningham CGeog
Biography
Through employment with the British Geological Survey, part of NERC (government’s Natural Environment Research Council) for 15 years, Jenny used ESRI products to work with many geospatial and analytical aspects of scientific projects. This involved work on different hydrogeological aspects from agricultural pollution, foot and mouth disease, urban drainage relating to environmental health, natural geohazards and groundwater resources. From the consultancy GIS work she has undertaken, in an urban setting, work involved using health data with population demographics, to target concerns within areas of inner London for resource management. She also expanded her range of experience into the energy sector where she works at present, involving tasks relating to optimum location of wind turbine arrays and interconnector cables using environmental, metrological, bathymetry and environmental data as a basis for environmental assessments and to underpin decision making.
