Biography
Raquel is a GIS, digital and environmentalist professional (MIEnvSc) with more than fifteen years of experience. She has a track record of successful projects on data governance, implementation of metadata guidelines, design of data-driven optioneering assessment methodologies, and geospatial business analysis. Raquel obtained an Integrated MSc in Environmental Science at Barcelona Autonomous University and furthered her education with a Master in GIS and Remote Sensing at CREAF in 2008. In her current role as Digital Enablement & Geospatial Lead in Sweco UK&I Raquel is the GIS Technical Authority in several infrastructure projects, promotes geospatial solutions in all areas of design and leads the up taking of digital tools/automation/ML/AI across the business contributing to the Digital and Sustainability Strategies. Raquel is also a STEM Ambassador, promoting geography and other nature science careers to young people.
