Biography
My research focuses on the identities and spatial representations of Québécois populations, both within Québec and abroad. For over twenty-five years, I have specialized in the study of the behaviors and identity–space relationships of Québécois tourists and seasonal residents in Florida, with particular attention to issues of mobility, territorial practices, and senses of belonging. From 2005 to 2010, I held a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in the Quality of Life of Knowledge Cities.
