Quantitative Methods Research Group conference session sponsorship
The Quantitative Methods Research Group (QMRG) is inviting proposals for Special Sessions at the forthcoming Annual International Conference, to be held from Tuesday 1 September to Friday 4 September 2026 at the Society and Imperial College London. The conference will offer both in-person and online participation.
We are especially keen to sponsor sessions that demonstrate how different forms of data, emerging technologies, and quantitative geographical methods can contribute to the conference theme, Geographies of inequalities: towards just places, in all its dimensions. We also welcome other session proposals that align with QMRG’s remit.
Proposals can take the form of paper sessions, poster presentations, or panels. We also particularly welcome sessions led by postgraduate students.
QMRG has access to a limited number of passes for non-Society members, and this might be an opportunity for session organisers to invite non-academics (e.g. from industry) as presenters or discussants.
How to submit your proposal
Please send the following information to Stephen Law (stephen.law@ucl.ac.uk) by 13 February 2026:
- Session title and abstract (250 words)
- Session organisers name, affiliation and email
- Session format and how many timeslots you are requiring
- Indication of preferred format (in-person, hybrid or online)
We will assess all the proposals and get back to you soon after that in order to submit the RGS-IBG form by the 6 March 2026.
Deadline: 13 February 2026.
