Energy Geographies Research Group (EnGRG) committee vacancies
Are you interested in playing a more active role within the EnGRG? There are a number of roles available on our committee for the upcoming academic year:
- Communications officer: responsible for the EnGRG social media accounts and website
- Awards officer: responsible for the coordination of the EnGRG's undergraduate and postgraduate awards
- Early Career Researcher Representative: responsible for representing the views of Early Career Researchers
- Postgraduate Researcher Representative: responsible for representing the views of Early Career Researchers
- General Committee Member
If you have any questions about what the role would entail, or would like to be apply for one of the roles, please get in touch with the EnGRG's Chair, Ami (ami.crowther@aru.ac.uk).
To apply, please state the committee role you'd be interested in taking up, and a couple of sentences of why you'd like the role.
AGM
Our AGM will be hosted online this year on Thursday 24 September from 12.00pm–1.30pm. The AGM provides a space to reflect on the past year, look forward to the upcoming year, and of course, elect our new committee.
You don't need to be a member of the RGS or EnGRG to attend the AGM, anyone that has an interest in Energy Geographies is welcome. Also, if you can only join for part of the AGM that's also fine.
EnGRG at the RGS-IBG Annual Conference
It's that time of year again where we get to celebrate all things geography at the RGS's Annual Conference. EnGRG have sponsored 12 fascinating sessions, details of which can be found here: EnGRG Sponsored Sessions for RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2026!

We're also hosting a social event on Wednesday 2 August, starting at 6.00pm in the Sunley Room. During the social event we'll be hearing from this year's Activism Award winner, Prof Peter Newell. You don't need to be a member of the EnGRG to attend the social.
