Transport Geography Research Group committee vacancies

The Transport Geography Research Group (TGRG) Annual General Meeting will take place online on Thursday, 10 September 2026 – please save the date. We will confirm the exact timing and circulate the Zoom link and full programme closer to the meeting.

As in previous years, we also plan to include a panel discussion alongside the formal AGM business, with further details to follow.

Call for nominations

We will hold elections during the AGM for the following positions on the TGRG Committee:

  • Treasurer
  • EDI Representative
  • Web and Social Media Officer
  • Postgraduate Representatives (up to three positions)
  • Ordinary Committee Members

We warmly encourage TGRG members who would like to become more involved in the Research Group to consider standing for one of these positions.

If you are interested, please email Lucy Budd (TGRG Chair) lucy.budd@sydney.edu.au and Gaurav Mittal (TGRG Secretary) gaurav.mittal@ouce.ox.ac.uk with a brief statement of interest (maximum 150 words) by 7 September 2026.

Nominations for the Treasurer position require a proposer and a seconder. If you would like to stand but are unsure whom to approach, please let us know – we can usually help identify TGRG members willing to support your nomination.

If you would like to know more about the Committee, what any of these roles involve, or the level of commitment expected, please feel free to get in touch with us.

We hope many of you will be able to join us on 10 September, and we particularly encourage members interested in contributing to the future activities of TGRG to consider joining the Committee.

Further details about the AGM and panel discussion will follow soon.
