Events and lectures
Bath Spa University offers a range of bespoke talks for A-level and GCSE groups either at your school or college within their region, or on campus as part of a wider University Experience (see below). Topics include Careers in Geography; Extreme Weather in the UK; Coastal management strategies; Migration and social inequalities. Get in touch to enquire about these or other potential topics.

Bath Spa University's guidance workshops are specifically designed to cover many aspects of your students' higher education journey. Each session provides guidance and support across topics such as choosing the right university and course, writing personal statements and understanding student finance. Find out more
Workshop: Geography Experience Day at Newton Park
Experience Geography fieldwork through mini-lectures and practical activities in the laboratory or campus grounds in physical and human geography. Run by specialists from their BSc (Hons) Geography courses. Find out more
Bath Spa University is situated in the beautiful grounds of Newton Park, offering a diverse range of opportunities from discovering the historical geographies of the site to river and soil sampling.
On-site tour of the stream running through the campus at Bath Spa University – they offer a guided tour with integrated activities studying the stream dynamics and channel form in relation to human interventions. 1 hour, suitable for AS and A2 levels (but can be adapted for GCSE). Option to undertake extended data collection in the stream as part of project work.
During your visit to campus, there may be an opportunity to include other activities focusing on environmental subjects such as Environmental Science or Wildlife Conservation, so get in touch.
