Department of Geography & Environment Events and Lectures

Public lecture series
LSE hosts a range public lectures and workshops across topics relating to geography and the environment. Events are free and open to all. Find out more

LSE Explore initiative

LSE Explore is a series of online academic taster events for Year 12 students which offer an insight into selected undergraduate degree subjects at LSE. Find out more

Student Ambassadors and Mentors

Student Ambassadors and Mentors are recruited, trained and paid to support a range of LSE's Widening Participation and Student Recruitment activities, sharing their experiences of applying to and studying at University with young people and prospective students. Find out more

Visits to and from schools

In terms of central LSE support, there are a couple of specifically dedicated teams that teachers are welcome to reach out to (as well as individual students or parents as well). The relevant teams are the widening participation team and the student recruitment team. Information relating to campus tours and individual visits can be found here.

Ask an Alum

A new digital tool that enables undergraduate offer holders and LSE alumni to connect with each other to seek advice on a particular topic – from how to start a career in a specific industry to the best tips for relocating to a new city. Find out more

Unibuddy

Prospective postgraduate students can use Unibuddy to chat to one of our current postgraduate students who can answer questions about being an LSE student, life in London, and how to get the most of your time studying at LSE. Find out more

LSE Thrive: Years 12-13
LSE Thrive is a free, sustained 10-month access programme for Year 12 students of Black heritage who live in or close to London and are interested in applying to study at LSE. Find out more
