University of the West England, Bristol offers the following outreach and engagement opportunities for schools, students and teachers:
Geography Lectures for A-Level
Geography staff at UWE have a wide range of A-Level geography specific lectures that they deliver at local schools and colleges to enhance the curriculum. Each of the lectures is specifically designed to acknowledge the theoretical content of a theme and then to apply it to a relevant case study. This provides students and teachers with content that can be directly applied to learning and exam preparation. They would welcome contact from schools and colleges where they do not already have links established.
Current lecture topics include the below (note that whilst these are grouped under the AQA Specification headings they are not specifically aligned with this syllabus and also apply to OCR and other specifications).
