Awards for Excellence in Geographical Learning

Awards recognising and rewarding excellence in geographical examinations.

What are these awards for?

These awards aimed to recognise and reward excellence in geographical examinations. It is always appreciated by students, parents and schools when the highest examination achievements are rewarded, and to have that achievement recognised by the Society elevates it further still. These awards promoted an interest in and enjoyment of geography by recognising the highest achievers in A Level, IB and GCSE examinations.

The winning students each received a cash award and certificate from the Society.

The Society's Awards for Excellence in Geographical Learning are currently paused, and no awards will be given for 2023 examinations onwards. The Society will continue to recognise excellence through its Medals and Awards and competitions.
