In this podcast we talk to Dr Nick Westcott, Director of the Royal African Society and Research Associate at the School of Oriental and African Studies. Dr Westcott is a former British High Commissioner to Ghana and Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo and Niger. More recently he has worked as the EU Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa, and has just published a new book called ‘Imperialism and Development - The East African Groundnut Scheme and its Legacy’ available from all good book shops.
