We are delighted to announce that Professor Julia Branson CGeog (GIS) has been appointed as the new Chair of the Chartered Geographer (CGeog) Assessors Forum.
The Assessors Forum plays a vital role in overseeing applications for Chartered Geographer status, the only internationally recognised accreditation for geographers. The Forum provides a platform for assessors to share expertise and shape the ongoing development of the assessment process.
Julia is a Professor of Geography at the University of Southampton, specialising in GIS and database analysis. She achieved CGeog (GIS) status in 2008 and has served as an active assessor since 2010, bringing a wealth of experience and insight to the role.
Julia succeeds Steve Keyworth CGeog (GIS), who steps down following the completion of his term as an assessor. Steve has made a significant contribution over many years, leading the development and continuous improvement of the Chartered Geographer assessment process. We extend our sincere thanks to Steve for his dedication and support for chartership and the wider Society.
