Society closing times over Christmas
From all of us at the Society, season’s greetings and thank you for your support over the last year.
The Society's building will be closed completely between Wednesday 24 December 2025 and Friday 2 January 2026, inclusive, with Society staff working remotely on 2 January 2026. In addition to the Christmas closure, the building will be closed all day this Friday, 19 December 2025 due to emergency works on the building’s mains water supply.
We will re-open with our normal hours (10.00am to 5.00pm) from Monday 5 January 2026.
In the meantime, why not have a look at what we have coming up in our spring programme of events, browse our online exhibitions, or catch up with some of our recent talk recordings?

New Chartered Geographers approved by the Society’s Council
Congratulations to the 19 Society Fellows who were recently awarded Chartered Geographer status by Council. This takes the number of Chartered Geographers approved by Council in 2025 to 96!
