This RGS-IBG policy briefing from 2012 brings geographical perspectives to debates around water policy in the UK.

It addresses 10 challenges in water management, particularly in relation to catchment planning and management, sustainable use, and pollution.

The briefing was informed by input from Professors Rick Battarbee, Louise Heathwaite, Stuart Lane, Adrian McDonald, Malcolm Newson, Heather Smith, Chad Staddon, and Geraldene Wharton.

The briefing was launched at an Environment and Society Forum discussion on The future policy challenges of an ecosystems approach. It was part of the Future Water 2012 Conference, which took place at the Society on 10 July 2012.
