Action for Conservation (AFC) is a UK grassroots charity using innovative approaches to inspire and empower young people from diverse backgrounds, between the ages of 12 and 24, to become the next generation of environmental leaders.

AFC also offer Nature Education Programmes free for state secondary schools and youth groups that meet our eligibility requirements. Additional funding is available to support transport and the cost of youth-led projects.

Wilded Programme

The Wilded Programme is delivered in secondary schools and youth groups across three priority regions: London and the South East, Bristol and South Wales, Manchester and the North West.

Featuring a series of inspiring sessions over the school year, the programme aims to deepen young people’s connection to nature and the natural world.

Students gain practical skills, build their knowledge and confidence, and emerge as young leaders motivated to drive change.

Summer camps

Summer Camps are open to all 12-16 year-olds in England and Wales. They are a chance to learn about nature, environmental justice, and how to take action, alongside other young people from across England and Wales.

The camps are packed with conservation activities, careers advice and adventure guided by young environmental professionals, the AFC team and partners.
